The Unwritten Rules: Let's Talk Hair is a hilarious video, with a comedic spin on what happens in the work environment, when people react to a persons cultural differences. I love this video, because any one that has followed this blog long enough, will know that I worked on corporate America for about 15 years. Even though I gained a lot of expereince and learned some life lessons, during my time in the corporate world, I experienced a lot of ignorance based on race, my culture and my hair. So this video speaks to me on so many levels. I must say that I have a wildly diverse group of friends and family, so racism is not a part of my vocabulary or way of thinking. But! There are indeed some misunderstandings that come up with another culture is introduced to something that they are not accustomed too.
The video stars Aasha Davis, as well as some other talented actors. Aasha has also been on Friday Night Lights, House, Grey's Anatomy, and more. To learn more about The Unwritten Rules: Let's Talk Hair, check out the website, Facebook page and see the video directly on youtube. Also check out the main website to see other episodes. I look forward to seeing all the videos and want to say thank you to Kim Williams, who created and wrote the web episodes, The Unwritten Rules.

Black Cotton Apparel called Neg Maron Haiti 1804 - 2010. Besides the amazing graphic and being a good quality T, there is a good message behind the design - "This Special Edition BCA 'Neg Maron' tee is a reminder of the resilience of the Haitian people. After the January 2010 earthquake, many historic important landmarks in the capital city, Port-au-Prince, were destroyed, but one crucial monument still remains 100% intact. The brilliant display of the 'Neg Maron' statue symbolizes that the Haitian spirit is forever strong and will not be broken." To learn more about this design and others, go to Black Cotton Apparel.

"I have been natural since 2005 for the purpose of freeing myself from chemicals and to embrace my natural beauty. I love being natural and I encourage others to do the same. I'm from Chicago Illinois, I'm a fashion merchandising student. I started modeling when I was seven but decided to venture off into other fields. I hear from so many people that I should consider modeling and now am eager to give it a try. I feel beauty comes and many forms and I want to be a positive influence for all women and girls to love themselves. I can be reached at my email firstname.lastname@example.org." - Tonnie Adams
Sergio Wonder is a New York based Fashion Designer. I friend-ed Sergio through Facebook years ago, and have since then admired his amazing style and creativity. He is multi-talented and his pictures always amaze me. "In 2007, Sergio Wonder received his degree in Fashion Marketing and Design from the American Intercontinental University of London. In 2009, after moving to NYC from his home in Miami, FL, the 24-year-old brought high hopes, superior craftsmanship, and keen ambition on becoming a Fashion Designer to the city and works tirelessly to make his dreams a wonderful reality. Though his background and experience are at home in women’s wear, Wonder has found new love in menswear, as seen in his impeccable manner of personal dress and spectacular design capabilities." - Source
